Thallium is a toxic metal that causes serious fatigue. It is added to gasoline and released into the air by car exhaust. Thallium toxicity is prevalent in those who live in urban environments as a result.
Petroleum companies used to add lead to gasoline. Due to it’s toxicity to the brain and nervous system, there was a huge public outcry that led to the removal of lead from gasoline. Today, thallium is added to gasoline to serve the same purpose – to prevent knocking in engines and make the engines last much longer. The only problem is that no one knows about thallium – not even many detox experts, let alone the unsuspecting population breathing it into their lungs every day.
You can identify the presence of this deadly metal in your body through hair mineral analysis or a Urine metals push test and detox it with a Mineral Power program. I pinpointed thallium as the source of my own ill health and detoxed quite a bit of it.
When I first began calculating certain ratios used to determine thallium toxicity from my own hair mineral analysis, I discovered that I was thallium toxic. I was shocked. Even though I had been detoxing for years, I was still inexplicably tired and not quite where I wanted to be with my health. I became frustrated with my own progress because I knew something was blocking my path to better wellness.
It was only when I started investigating more metals on an HTMA and doing urine toxic metals push testing that I finally discovered exactly what that toxic source was: thallium. I was both shocked and concerned to find out that this poison was the culprit afflicting my overall well-being. And I realized it was affecting so many of my client’s health as well – especially those suffering from chronic fatigue.
Thallium was also the poison of choice for the assassination of political dissidents in Russia, and was used to the same ends within the Saddam Hussein regime (9). In short, thallium is deadly.
How You Are Exposed to Thallium
Thallium is a potent mitochondrial poison. It poisons the enzymes that transport nutrients into your cell’s mitochondria – the body’s energy manufacturers. In this way, it renders your ATP energy manufacturers unable to product energy as effectively. The result is chronic, unrelenting fatigue.
This poison can be absorbed into the body though inhalation, ingestion, and/or contact with the skin, though oral ingestion can be the most dangerous form of exposure (2). Thallium can be found in such things as (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9):
- Anti-knock additive in some gasoline in areas where high-octane gas is in short supply
- Ant killers
- Car exhaust
- Cardiac scanning (thallium isotopes are used in this procedure)
- Cement plants
- Coal Ash
- Inhalation of contaminated dust from pyrite burners
- Kale and other cruciferous vegetables
- Lead smelting
- Manufacture of electronics: low temperature thermometers, optical lenses, and imitation precious jewels, semiconductors, scintillation counters, green-colored fireworks
- Oil drilling
- Production of photoelectric cells
- Smog (released from auto exhaust)
- Water fluoridated with fluorosilicic acid
- Zinc smelting
Perhaps the most notable thing on the above list is kale. That’s right, the tasty and trendy cruciferous vegetable can be hazardous to your health when eaten in overabundance. A 2006 study found that the cruciferous family of vegetables – kale, cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli – to be hyper-acculumators of thallium. But more recently, Ernie Hubbard, a molecular biologist in Marin County, California, elaborated on this study by focusing on the “queen” of the vegetable world (and arguably the most popular among the crucifers) – kale. His studies revealed that kale contained potent levels of thallium, even in cases where the soil in which it was grown was low in thallium (6).
Most disturbing, however, was the discovery that organically grown kale showed higher levels of thallium than the conventionally grown ones! And not just of thallium, but also of several toxic metals, including mercury, cadmium, and lead (6)! The reason behind this is still unknown, but one current hypothesis is that organic kale is higher in sulfur, which is known to attract thallium.
These findings are certainly alarming, though this does not mean you must immediately put down that kale salad and back away slowly. There are a lot of foods that contain toxins because our environment is so polluted. It’s more about awareness and avoiding the most contaminated foods. And doing a sensible daily detox. Like anything else, take your kale in moderation.
Symptoms of Thallium Toxicity
Thallium toxicity has multi-organ involvement and presents with vague symptoms that are often attributed to other causes. As a result, the symptoms are commonly dismissed by traditional health practitioners altogether and lead to a misdiagnosis of the patient’s condition (8).
Some of the symptoms associated with thallium toxicity include (1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9):
- Abnormal heart rhythms
- Abnormal reflexes
- Abnormal vision
- Abdominal pain
- Blood in stool
- Bone marrow depression
- Brain fog
- Breakdown of red blood cells
- Burning sensations
- Chronic fatigue
- Degenerative changes of the heart, liver and kidney
- Dry and crusty scaling of the skin
- Excessive salivation
- Gluten sensitivity
- Hair loss (temporary and permanent)
- High blood pressure
- Inflammation of the mouth, lips, and gums
- Leg pain
- Loss of appetite
- Loss of reflexes
- Malnutrition due to thallium interference in absorption of nutrients
- Muscle aches, weakness and tremors
- Nail changes (Mee’s lines)
- Numbness in extremities like fingers and toes
- Respiratory paralysis and failure
- Shortness of breath
- Skin hyperesthesia (mainly in the soles of the feet and the tibia)
- Subarchanoid hemorrhage
- Urine discoloration (green) shortly after exposure
- Vision disturbances
- Damage to the nerves controlling the muscles of the head and neck (e.g., swallowing and eye movements)
As you can see, toxicity from this deadly metal spans a variety of symptoms. And while the severity of these symptoms is dose dependent, it’s worth noting that in cases of acute toxicity from ingestion, symptoms tend to present themselves in three stages (2):
- Gastrointestinal phase
- Neurological phase
- Hair phase, most commonly alopecia
The symptoms of thallium toxicity are in direct correlation to a lack of the healthy minerals it replaces. Toxic elements, like thallium, replace nutrient minerals in enzyme binding sites. When this occurs, the metals inhibit, over-stimulate, and otherwise alter thousands of enzymes. An affected enzyme may operate at 5% of normal activity. This may contribute to many health conditions. Toxic metals may also simply deposit in many sites, causing local irritation and other effects.
Toxic metals may also replace other substances in other tissue structures. The replacement weakens these tissues, such as the arteries, joints, bones, and muscles. Thallium replaces potassium in vital enzyme binding sites. When there is a deficiency of potassium, the body is forced to use thallium in its place. This is why maintaining healthy, balanced minerals with Mineral Power is so important!
Health Conditions Caused by Thallium
Thallium toxicity is frequently overlooked by traditional medical practitioners and even most detox ‘experts.’ Thallium bioacculumates, meaning, it builds up in the body over time. When a test for thallium toxicity is conducted, the results often don’t register at levels considered poisonous (6). But if it is not detoxed, it can cause serious health problems: (1, 7).
- Emotional disturbances
- Fetal mortality
- Impairment of thought and mood
- Impaired immunity / poor resistance to infection
- Intense headaches
- Poor concentration
- Memory failure
- Neurological damage
- Permanent alopecia
- Severe muscular atrophy
- Various involuntary movement disorders
Supplements that Detox Thallium
An antagonist is an element that can help to push or detox thallium out of the body.
- Potassium: The strongest antagonist to and single most effective agent against thallium is potassium. This is because thallium has a similar charge and ionic ratios to potassium and is distributed in the body much the same way (5, 8).
- Prussian Blue: Prussian blue binds to thallium, keeping it within the intestinal tract and preventing it from getting into the rest of the body (2, 7).
Detecting Thallium Toxicity
When investigating possible thallium toxicity, we first perform a hair mineral analysis and then review the results.
A few things to note when detecting thallium:
- Everyone who has lived in urban environments has some level of thallium in their body.
- Thallium does not detox into the hair directly on a hair mineral analysis, but we can see it indirectly in mineral to thallium ratios with the interpretive ratios used on a Mineral Power program.
- Thallium can be detected on urine metals analysis push tests.
How to Detox Thallium
Thallium is usually deeply buried and requires time on a Mineral Power program to uncover and dislodge from storage sites in the body. Even then, complete reversal of all symptoms may not be possible, depending on the level of toxicity suffered. This is because thallium acts as a cumulative poison, storing itself deep in the body’s tissues, as well as the fact the toxic tentacles of this poison spread into multiple systems of the body (7).
Another reason is can take so long to remove is because of how thallium becomes deeply lodged in the body’s tissues. It must be detoxed slowly, rather than a quick release of all the tissues stores (7). If it were eliminated very quickly, a person would be in danger of greatly exacerbating their toxic symptoms with a hasty elimination.
There are things you can do NOW to help rid your body of this dangerous poison slowly and safely. I recommend taking BioSil and PectaSol-C. Together, these supplements will detox Thallium in about two years.
BioSil serves as a chelator of thallium, while PectaSol-C binds to thallium (and other metals and chemicals) and removes them from the body. When taking these products for two years, you can rid your body of most accumulated Thallium. BioSil also removes aluminum, tin, arsenic, cesium and antimony from the body. Pretty amazing!
Mineral Power Can Help!
Many of the adverse health conditions caused by thallium toxicity can be reversed through detox. But it must be done in the right way and consistently for at least two years. At the very least, many experience a vast reduction in their symptoms with detoxification of thallium via mineral supplementation and use of an infrared sauna, all of which are part of a comprehensive Mineral Power program.
A Mineral Power program is one of the best programs to remove all toxic metals from the body. Mineral Power utilizes over 20 different methods at once to remove thallium and ALL toxic metals safely and deeply, while replenishing the minerals your body needs. Metals can often do the same jobs as minerals. So when we are mineral deficient, the human body is forced to accumulate metals to accomplish certain processes necessary to for us to survive. Mineral Power replenishes your minerals, helps you to restore balance to your body, and gives it energy so that it can push thallium and other metals out when it no longer needs them to function.
Many nutrients are given on a Mineral Power to aid the body’s removal of thallium.
Another excellent therapy used on a Mineral Power program to remove thallium from the body is the use of a near infrared sauna. Read more about this inexpensive and safe therapy. The use of the sauna is vital on a Mineral Power program because thallium, other heavy metals, and hundreds of chemicals can be removed through the skin.
Your body must have certain nutrients available to carry toxins and heavy metals like thallium out of the body. The most important for detoxing are vitamin C, glutathione, and R-lipoic acid. Without these nutrients, your detoxification efforts can result in toxins and heavy metals building up in your liver, intestines, and kidneys with no means of exit, causing illness. These supplements can be taken daily. Additionally, we need to supplement the major vitamins and minerals daily to assist in detoxification. See all the detox supplements you need in the Live to 110 Store.
Presently, humanity is exposed to the highest levels of toxic metals in recorded history, up to several thousand times higher than even several hundred years ago due to industrialization. The danger of toxic metals in our environment is greatly aggravated due to low mineral content of our food supply, as well as the contamination of our food supply. If one does not consume preferred minerals in the diet, the body will pick up whatever toxic metals it can from the food, air, and water as substitutes to perform various functions in the body. A key principle to remember is that an abundance of essential minerals in the diet and via supplementation protects the body against toxic metals.
It’s time to restore balance to your body with Mineral Power!
A Mineral Power program is not about diagnosing or treating any particular disease. It utilizes a hair mineral analysis to design a customized diet, supplement, lifestyle and detox program to detox heavy metals, improve the entire body’s energy level, reduce stress, and improve the metabolic rate of the body. My program focuses on the wellness model of health care, which is a state of high resistance to all illness.
